The Melbourne-ising of downtown Auckland continues unabated with yet another history-steeped but long-forgotten building being restored and reinvented. The six-level, waterfront Seafarers building, once sailors' lodgings, is being turned into an entertainment venue that's all class, Captain. What was the back of the Seafarers building is now Tyler Street, smack-bang in the heart of the Britomart precinct.
One of the newest tenants is Supreme Seafarers, a Coffee Supreme coffee joint. Yes, they sling good coffee. Like proper, proper good. But they're also offering a very curated selection of design items - homeware and other lovely things.
I thought you might like a little ooh-aah at the branding and graphics, and also at that hella-sexy interior, with fit-out and custom furniture (with a nod to the nautical) by Fearon Hay.
